Schools in rural areas often have limited access to clean water. Solar energy can provide a reliable source of water for drinking, cooking, and sanitation. This can have a major impact on the health and well-being of students and teachers.
There are a few different ways to make clean solar energy available to schools in rural areas. One that BV uses is to install solar panels on the roofs of schools. This can provide a reliable source of electricity for water pumps and other equipment.
BV has successfully run this program in 4 different schools benefitting more than 3000 students and teachers.
Lack of access to proper lighting can have a profound impact on the lives of people, especially children, in remote parts of India. Providing clean and reliable lighting is not just an objective; it's a necessity. It has far-reaching positive effects on education, health, safety, and overall well-being.
In the year 2022, 200 solar lamps were distributed with the help of CSR and volunteers.
